One Love

Christmas is a season filled with love. Love of friends and family. Love of gift giving and receiving. Love of time spent celebrating and remembering. Love of singing songs and feasting on food. Love of enjoying lights against dark skies and on trees in our homes.

All of these loves are ways we get to show others how much we love them, whether they love us or not. Like gift exchanges at home, sometimes we love and know our friends and family love us too. Like caroling and dropping off cookies in our neighborhood, sometimes we love and don’t know for certain if they love us. Like strangers driving by to enjoy lights hanging on our home, sometimes we love with the hope they might in their darkness see our light and choose to love for the first time.

Christmas is a time we get to remember all of these loves are OK. We get to celebrate all these loves exist because God loved us long before we chose to love Him back. With His love, we get to love each other. We get to celebrate loving others no matter if we are loved back or not. In His love we get to live.

HIS Love

God loves ALL of us so much that He sent His Son to live with us and die for us not knowing if any one of us would choose to say yes to believing in Him and His promise of holding a room in heaven for us.

God loves ALL of us so much that if anyone of us sees His light in our darkness and actually chooses to love Him back, we get to live with Him for the rest of His everlasting life. We get to live knowing we are fully and completely loved.

Even if only one of us on earth chose to say yes to believing in Him and His eternal promise, God would have sent His Son ALL the same. He loves each one of us that much!

God’s gift of sending One Son was enough for ALL

because His one love is enough for ALL.

May we ALL find celebration in this one love.

May we ALL find peace in this one love.

For those residing in His light, may there be joy in knowing His battle for you has already been won.

For those looking at His twinkling lights in dark skies, may there be a nudging to choose love. He is already battling for you because He already loves you.

Merry Christmas!

May you know just how much you are loved in this holiday season.

Loving One Another

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
